As any homeowner will attest, safety in one's home is an area of primary concern.  The marketplace has responded with a variety of products that are intended to protect ones' life and property.  Recent additions to these types of products are those that alert others to possible falls or medical conditions for those living on their own.  While these products work most of the time, they do require action on the part of the home dweller to activate in an emergency.  In many cases the home dweller is not in a state where they can activate a device in an emergency situation.  Accordingly, there exists a need for a means by which elderly or disabled people living on their own can be provided with assistance during emergency situations without requiring action on their part.

S.A.F.T.E. is a monitoring system that detects lack of motion inside the home.  It comes equipped with a motion detector, magnetic door switch and outside beacon to alert neighbors and passersby.  It can be installed easily with an optional communicator that "grabs" an existing phone line to call family or emergency personnel with preprogrammed messages.  This available two-way communicator enhances the safety feature of the unit.
